Chive Blossom Restaurant & Bar is practically a household name along the Grand Strand.  They have won numerous awards and have had much acclaim with their delicious cuisine.  So when they contacted us at Ellev Advertising Agency, we were very excited about having the opportunity to work with them and provide them with some award-winning website design, graphics, logo design, as well as award-winning food photography.  When we started the project with Chive Blossom we needed to do an entirely new branding and look.  Our goal was to do something modern but retro, minimalist but complex, vibrant but clean.  We also had the task of incorporating the “Restaurant & Bar” in the name and moving away from the cafe’ branding.  No simple feat, but from the reviews from patrons and the owners I’d say we achieved it!

With Chive Blossom’s new web design and logo, we wanted to be sure to maintain continuity to maximize branding.  We made sure that we used complementary colors, fonts, and styles to make the new look cohesive in all its elements.  We also designed the new website to be responsive (respond to the user’s behavior and environment based on screen size, platform and orientation) as well as a semi-parallax design so that we could highlight the new food photography by Ellev.  We also wanted to feature menu snippets and interior page teasers to entice the viewer to delve further into the website to view the menus, social media, and other important sections of the website.  We consider all these things when building websites for our clients as our goal is to maximize the user experience and to have them spend as much time as possible viewing the website.  We do this to ensure that when a viewer visits your website that they get past your homepage and in your front door.  If our websites don’t help bring you business, then we haven’t done our job.

At Ellev, we love it when are creativity has the opportunity to run wild!  We recently had such an opportunity with the world renown, Dawn Yager and Shanti Yoga Studio!  When Dawn originally came to us, it took us a few meetings and cups of coffee to grasp her unique vision for her new website design.  But after a few of these meetings and a few mock ups, we nailed it!

Dawn wanted a very non-traditional design that drew from Indian art and color schemes.  So with that in mind we incorporated images of Genesha with bright orange, yellows, and hot pink colors.  This made for a very vibrant and unique site which harkens back to Dawn and Shanti’s style.  With this one-of-kind design, she wanted to incorporate the ability to host online video lessons with a client login.  So we speciality programmed this function into her site with password protection that automatically changed monthly for her paid client login.  This site also featured an online class signup with www.mindbodyonline.com, event calendar, instructional videos, a blog, and more!  This new website was very interactive and provided many services.

At Ellev Advertising Agency we have many 501c3 non-profits web design and advertising clients which require a very specialized approach due to the many rules and regulations that effect 501c3’s.  With that said, we were very excited to have the opportunity to work with the only non-profit assisted living centers in the area, Anderson Oaks Assisted Living – www.andersonoaksassistedliving.com.  Anderson Oaks reached out to us to design their new, responsive custom website.  We approached their design with few interesting challenges and ideas.  One, we wanted the site to be very interactive but yet remain senior citizen friendly.  We also wanted to feature an interactive calendar for the many events that Anderson Oaks holds for it’s residents and community.  We set it up so that each event actually has it’s on post which can be easily shared via social media, email, and also by other methods.  Another feature that we set up was an online donations cart and page.  We set it up to be very straight forward and user friendly so that it would encourage individuals to give to and support Anderson Oaks’ services which they provide as a non-profit.
